Instajet— Private aviation news and intelligence

About

Instajet

Instajet reports on the private aviation market: fleet movements, route economics, operator performance and the regulation shaping business jet travel. It exists because most figures quoted in this industry arrive without a source attached, and a number you cannot trace is not information.

The organisation

What the platform is

The publisher behind the archive, and the facts about it that can be checked against a public record.

Instajet is a publication, not a marketplace. It runs a daily reporting pipeline over a defined set of published sources — regulator notices and filings, manufacturer specifications, operator announcements, trade press and open datasets — and turns what changes into datelined coverage with every figure traced back to the source it came from.

Alongside the reporting it maintains reference material the news is written against: aircraft specifications, airports, and modelled charter economics for individual routes. Those pages exist so that a figure in an article has somewhere to be checked, which is the difference between reporting a market and repeating it.

Nothing here is transactional. Instajet does not sell flights, broker charter or take bookings, and pricing shown anywhere on the site is modelled from public data as an estimate rather than offered as a quote.

How we publish

The rules this site holds itself to

Each of these is enforced in the database or printed on the page, so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Every figure carries its source
Specifications and market figures quoted in an article are taken from a named published source, and every article lists the sources it was written from at the foot of the page. A figure with no source does not go in.
Gaps stay gaps
Where a number could not be sourced it is left out rather than estimated, interpolated, or borrowed from a comparable aircraft or operator. A stated gap is information; a plausible invention is not.
The review state is on the page
Every article states whether an editor has read it against its sources before publication. That claim sits in the strip under the headline where a reader will see it, not in a policy page they will not.
Prices are estimates, and say so
Charter pricing shown on this site is modelled from public data. It is an indication of what a route costs, not a quote, and nothing here is an offer to sell a flight.
Corrections are visible
A corrected article keeps its URL and records the date it was last modified. Where an editor has questioned a piece, it is flagged on its own page until it is revised.

Who writes this

Every article is attributed. Where a piece was drafted from cited sources and not yet checked by an editor, it says so on its own page.

  • Nick Davis

Founder and Director · 15 years in corporate aircraft charter and sales; former Head of Aviation at Sunseeker.

Nick Davis is a British aviation entrepreneur and the founder of Instajet. He began flying at a young age, starting in cadets at 12, flying gliders at 16 and becoming an instructor at 17, before serving in the Army Air Corps and moving into commercial aviation. He subsequently worked in aviation sales and strategy, including as Head of Aviation at Sunseeker, before founding Instajet to bring a simpler, technology-led approach to private aircraft charter and jet-card travel.

Coverage

All coverage

What we cover

  • Market

Charter demand, pricing movement and the economics of the private aviation market.

  • Empty legs

Repositioning flights sold at a discount: how the inventory is created, what the contract actually promises, and where the risk sits.

  • Operators

Fleet moves, safety ratings, programme changes and financial results from charter operators and fractional providers.

  • Jet cards

Prepaid hour programmes, memberships and fractional shares — programme terms, rate structures and the changes that affect existing cardholders.

  • Aircraft

Business jet programmes, certification, deliveries and published performance figures.

  • Routes

Route economics, flight times and airport access on the corridors private aviation actually flies.

  • Regulation

Rulemaking, airspace and environmental policy shaping business aviation.

History

How this came about

Not yet published

The history of Instajet — when it was founded, by whom, and what it has published since — has not been written up here yet. Nothing has been approximated in its place. The facts about the organisation that can be checked against a public record are in the panel at the top of this page, and each appears there only once it has been verified against a primary source rather than inferred.

The record

Everything else on the public record

The pages this site's structured data names as its editorial, corrections and ownership disclosures. Each is a page rather than a promise on this one.

  • Authors

Everyone who writes here, with the credentials behind each byline and the profiles that corroborate them. Each byline's page is what this site's structured data names as the author of their articles.

  • Founder

Who founded this publication, their background, and the external profiles that corroborate it.

  • Editorial policy

How an article is produced end to end: where the sources come from, where a language model does the drafting, what the automated checks test, and what an editor has to do before a piece is marked as reviewed.

  • Corrections

The corrections policy, the form for reporting a factual error, and the full log of every change made to a published article. What this site's structured data names as its corrections policy.

  • Ownership and funding

Who owns this publication and how it is paid for, plus the commitments that hold regardless of the answer — chiefly that coverage is not for sale.

  • Contact

The three role addresses — corrections, editorial, press — what each is for, what happens to a message sent to it, and the postal address where one has been published.

  • All coverage

The archive itself: every article published, newest first, with the review state and the sources on each one.
