NetJets plans to expand its Columbus, Ohio headquarters with two new buildings on its Bridgeway Avenue campus, adding more than 365,000 square feet of space and creating over 800 new jobs, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons.

The fractional operator, which has been headquartered in Columbus for over 60 years, expects the expansion to complete in early 2029. The project will include office space, a crew training center, a parking garage, and expanded dining and event facilities.

The development is being carried out in partnership with architectural firms Daimler Group and Volconn. Daimler Group previously worked with NetJets on its current headquarters, completed in 2012.

Private Jet Card Comparisons reports that a NetJets spokesperson said in a press release: "Construction is expected to proceed in phases over the coming years and is subject to securing final legal and regulatory approvals." The statement continued: "Throughout the process, we will remain focused on maintaining the high standards of safety and service our owners know and expect, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Columbus for decades to come."

NetJets is the world's largest private jet operator and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. The reporting does not disclose the total investment value or the detailed timeline for each construction phase.

For existing card holders, it is unclear from available reporting whether the new facilities will affect service availability during construction phases or how the expansion might influence current service levels over the span of several years expected for the project to complete.

The expansion represents a significant commitment to Columbus by the operator. No figure has been reported for the capital investment or the specific headcount distribution across the new facilities. Private Jet Card Comparisons did not report whether the expansion will include any changes to NetJets' fractional ownership or jet card programme structures, or whether pricing for existing cardholders might be affected by the substantial infrastructure investment.
