Blade relaunches New York–South Florida by-the-seat flights for winter

The shuttle service, operated by Aero with Embraer regional jets, runs from Thanksgiving through March 2027 at $2,450 each way.

Blade has relaunched by-the-seat shuttle flights between New York and South Florida for the winter season, three years after ending the service at the end of the 2023 season, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons.

The service runs from Thanksgiving through March 2027. Southbound flights operate Thursdays and Fridays, while northbound services run Sundays and Mondays. Prices start at $2,450 each way.

For aircraft owners and jet card holders, the relaunch offers a fixed-price alternative to charter for flights between the two regions during the winter season. Existing Blade customers familiar with the route can now book by-the-seat capacity without committing to a full charter.

Route and aircraft

Flights depart from Westchester County Airport in New York with helicopter transfers available from Manhattan. They operate nonstop to Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach and Opa-Locka Executive Airport in Miami.

Aero is operating the flights using Embraer regional jets configured with 1×1 seating, all forward-facing club seats. Major Food Group provides gourmet catering, and the service includes caviar.

Booking and pet policy

Passengers can book flights through either Blade or Aero. Blade will sell trip books.

Up to five dogs under 20 pounds are allowed at $500 per flight. For $3,500, dogs can fly as much as the passenger does with a guaranteed spot on the jet.

Joby's ownership and service details

Joby Aviation acquired Blade's passenger business last year for $125 million. Private Jet Card Comparisons does not specify whether Joby remains involved in the relaunch or what role, if any, it plays in the service.

The relaunch targets winter demand, when private aviation activity typically peaks as travellers seek faster transportation between northern hubs and South Florida's warm-weather destinations. The flight schedule—southbound midweek and northbound at the start of the week—aligns with typical weekend travel patterns for seasonal residents.
