FlightLadder launches FAA-powered job search platform for Part 135 pilots
The new site maps 1,782 Part 135 operators and tracks 532 live job postings, including 252 pilot roles, with a paid tier at $9 monthly or $79 annually.
FlightLadder, a new job search platform built from FAA Part 135 operator data, has launched at FlightLadder.com, according to General Aviation News.
The platform maps 1,782 Part 135 certificated operators and has decoded 11,600 of their aircraft, giving pilots a searchable view of the Part 135 industry. The site currently tracks 532 live job postings, including 252 pilot-specific roles, pulled directly from operators' own career pages.
The problem the platform addresses
Pilots have traditionally relied on word of mouth or outdated job boards to find charter, cargo and air taxi positions. Low-time pilots in particular have struggled to identify which operators are hiring or even which ones exist. FlightLadder centralises operator and job data into one searchable site, eliminating the need to dig through individual company websites and hard-to-find career pages.
Hunter Eckard, the platform's founder, said that "FlightLadder fixes that for pilots across the industry, centralizing all of that data into one easily searchable site."
Pilot Reports feature
Alongside the job search tool, FlightLadder offers Pilot Reports, a feature where pilots can share firsthand accounts of what it is like to work at a given operator. The reports cover the interview process, training, schedule and upgrade timelines, giving pilots considering a move the kind of inside information that traditionally came only from personal connections.
Pricing and expansion
The site offers a free tier as well as a Pro Tier for pilots actively searching for jobs. The Pro Tier costs $9 per month or $79 per year.
FlightLadder represents the first structured attempt to consolidate Part 135 operator data and job postings in one place. It is unclear from available reporting whether the platform plans to expand to other operator categories, such as Part 121 carriers, or what the current user base size is. Neither General Aviation News nor the company has disclosed when FlightLadder intends to add support for other certificate types.
