FlyJets launches JetGPT AI charter platform out of beta
The automated agent enables flight searches through a chatbot interface and promises expanded capabilities in the coming months.
FlyJets has launched its JetGPT charter aviation marketplace out of beta, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. The AI-powered platform uses a chatbot interface to help users search for and share charter flights.
The platform does not change what charter flights cost, but it aims to simplify how users find and book them. Customers can request flights by typing or dictating their requirements into the chatbot, and the platform draws on public flight data including aircraft and flight plan information. Users must create an account to request flights.
How JetGPT works
JetGPT entered beta in February and has been refined based on customer feedback since then. Private Jet Card Comparisons reports that the platform is available on FlyJets' website and on the Apple Store app, though it is not yet on the Google Play Store.
Unlike competitors such as Jet.AI's Look Book & Fly, which connects its AI chatbot to Jet.AI's servers, FlyJets operates its own AI agent for the platform.
FlyJets CEO Jessica Fisher said the company "built and improved JetGPT" in keeping with its goals of "delivering transparency, accuracy, and efficiency — while helping our community of Flyers and Aircraft Providers save time and money." Fisher also stated that FlyJets' mission is "to provide a welcoming and inclusive marketplace, exchange and networking hub for both new and veteran users of nonscheduled air transportation."
Planned upgrades
JetGPT V2 is expected to include expanded dictation capabilities, fleet operating models, and sustainable aviation fuel and carbon credit-based solutions. Private Jet Card Comparisons reports that the platform currently promises "numerous fall and winter flight-sharing opportunities."
FlyJets functions as a marketplace for charter aircraft and flights and is IATA-registered as a travel agency, offering booking services for hotels and cars alongside aviation. The company launched as a crowdsourcing platform that allows consumers to share charter flights and reduce costs.
