Game Day Private Jets launches $1,495 football travel package with Lightheaded

Game Day Private Jets, a Houston-based sports-focused charter broker, has launched a $1,495 package combining flight credits and sports memorabilia, targeting college football fans.

According to Private Jet Card Comparisons, the "Game Day Elevated" package includes a one-year Game Day membership, $500 in flight credit with the broker, a collectible Lightheaded helmet (with purchasers able to choose their preferred college team), and $200 in credit with sports retailer Fanatics. Lightheaded's helmets light up electronically with teams' colours and are sold as collectibles.

Private Jet Card Comparisons reports the package is priced at 28% below the normal combined price of its components, which the outlet says add up to $2,074.

The deal

The package is the result of a partnership between Game Day Private Jets and Lightheaded, a football memorabilia company. Luis Garcia, Game Day's CEO and a former Wheels Up Senior VP, said in a press release that the offer was designed to address what college football means beyond the game itself. "College football is about much more than what happens during the four quarters of the game," he said. "It's the travel, the traditions, the people you go with and the memories you bring home."

Garcia added: "We wanted to create an offer that brought all of that together. For $1,495, someone can become a Game Day member, receive $500 toward actually flying with us, choose a Lightheaded helmet from an eligible school and receive another $200 to spend with Fanatics. It's a pretty incredible way to introduce someone to the Game Day experience."

Game Day Private Jets offers jet ride-sharing and has focused on targeting fans of university football and fantasy football since its founding by Garcia.

What the package means for buyers

For someone purchasing the bundle, the offer cuts the combined retail value of the components to $1,495 from $2,074. The $500 flight credit applies toward actual bookings with Game Day Private Jets. Private Jet Card Comparisons does not report whether the one-year membership includes any minimum booking requirements or restrictions on the flight credit, nor whether the membership continues beyond the first year at any stated price.
