Global private jet activity returns to year-over-year growth in week 43

Private jets recorded 81,765 departures globally in the week ended 24 October, driven by strong US activity and the NBAA-BACE conference in Las Vegas.

Global private jet flight activity returned to year-over-year growth in week 43 of 2026, which ended on 24 October, recording 81,765 total departures globally, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons' analysis of data from WingX.

The week represented a 0.7% year-over-year increase after the previous week had declined. However, the reporting does not say what the target audience's costs are or whether they face any changes to pricing or availability as a result of the activity shift.

North America drives the rebound

North America accounted for nearly 60,000 of the global departures, representing about 2% year-over-year growth. The United States alone recorded 58,022 departures, a 3% increase compared to the same week in 2025.

Florida and Texas both posted year-over-year gains over the week. Nevada recorded particularly strong growth, with 32.8% more flights than the prior year, driven largely by the NBAA-BACE conference held in Las Vegas. The timing difference—last year's conference fell in a different week—accounted for much of the state's increase.

Headwinds in other regions

Large increases in United States activity offset year-over-year declines in Central America and Europe. Nick Koscinski, WingX Analyst, told Private Jet Card Comparisons that Mexico and Canada "remain the biggest drags" on global activity.

Koscinski stated that fractional ownership activity "is still the bright spot", suggesting that sector is outperforming. He also noted that while more jets are flying than a year ago, each jet is flying slightly less, and the number of jets for sale has edged up for three weeks running to 1,765.

On a year-to-date basis through week 43, global private jet activity shows 25 weeks with year-over-year growth, 5 weeks with flat activity, and 13 weeks with declines. Over the rolling four-week period, private jets recorded 327,245 total departures globally, just 1% more than the same four weeks in 2025, a slight decline compared with rolling four-week trends earlier in 2026.
