Jet.AI launches Look Book & Fly charter platform with deposit-based pricing
After selling its aviation division to FlyExclusive, the company is repositioning as an ad hoc charter broker with tiered deposit accounts ranging from $50,000 to $500,000.
Jet.AI has launched Look Book & Fly by Jet Token, an AI-powered charter platform offering deposit-based pricing in place of per-trip payments, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons.
The Las Vegas-based company is repositioning itself as an on-demand charter broker following the sale of its aviation division to FlyExclusive last July. Alongside the charter platform, Jet.AI is operating three data centers—two in Canada and one in Nevada—which the company's COO Patrick McNulty said operate as completely separate ventures from the booking platform.
The charter deposit program
Look Book & Fly eliminates per-trip payments by requiring clients to fund a deposit account against which flights are charged. Deposit tiers range from $50,000 to $500,000, with discounts based on deposit amount ranging from 2 per cent to 5 per cent. Catering credits are included as part of the tiered deposit program.
The platform will use dynamic pricing exclusively. For deposits greater than $250,000, Jet.AI will offer an escrow account for funds on request. An administration fee of 2.5 per cent applies to the initial deposit, with a quarterly fee of 0.25 per cent.
Platform and rebranding
Look Book & Fly is a rebrand of the company's CharterGPT app, which will now operate under the new name across both its mobile app and online platform. The platform features an AI-powered chatbot interface that searches for quotes matching clients' preferences, which customers can then book.
McNulty explained that the name references Jet Token, the company's original brand launched in 2021 before it rebranded as Jet AI in 2023. Jet Token initially launched with a HondaJet fractional program, later adding an on-fleet jet card program and a fixed-rate broker jet card. Jet.AI went public via a SPAC IPO, though the reporting does not specify the date.
It is unclear from available reporting what percentage of Jet.AI's business charter brokering represents compared to its data center operations, or how many flights have been booked through the Look Book & Fly platform since its launch.
