OneFlight's 2026 sales records show discounts consumed 77.9% of jet card cash before operations paused

Private Jet Card Comparisons analysed the broker's transactions and found bonuses and credits equivalent to $176 million against $226 million in cash received through early September.

OneFlight International's 2026 jet card sales show the broker issued discounts and bonuses equivalent to 77.9% of the cash it took in before pausing operations, according to an analysis by Private Jet Card Comparisons of documents covering transactions through early September.

The broker received $226 million in jet card-related cash and issued $176 million in flight credits, bonuses and other discounts, including waived membership fees. Combined, those created a liability for future flights of around $400 million. That figure does not include obligations from existing balances carried into the year.

The extent of the discounting

Private Jet Card Comparisons reviewed over 1,300 transactions from 2026. It found that 41% of transactions came with bonuses or credits so large the deal was 100% or greater than the cash OneFlight received. Another 64% of transactions included bonuses or discounts equivalent to at least 50% of the jet card cash received.

OneFlight positioned the jet card deals as limited loss leaders designed to attract new customers. The transaction data tells a different story: discounts were not limited to new customer acquisition but were widespread across the portfolio.

For comparison, typical jet card deals give one free hour for every 25 hours purchased, a 4% bonus. Bonuses of 10–15% are considered generous in the industry.

Monthly pattern and the final month

The discount intensity varied month to month. Credits and discounts ranged from 56.2% of cash received in February to 89.7% in June. In September, when OneFlight paused operations on the 16th, the ratio reached 116.6%—meaning the company issued more in credits and bonuses than it took in cash that month. It is unclear from available reporting whether that September imbalance triggered or hastened the pause decision.

OneFlight paused operations on 16 September 2026. The reporting does not say whether the company has resumed operations or filed for insolvency protection.
