SC Aviation breaks ground on fourth hangar at Wisconsin airport

The 30,000-square-foot facility at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport is projected to cost $3.5 million and is expected to be completed in March 2027.

SC Aviation has broken ground on a new hangar at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, close to its headquarters in Janesville, Wisconsin. According to Private Jet Card Comparisons, the 30,000-square-foot facility is projected to cost $3.5 million and construction is expected to end in March 2027.

The hangar will be SC Aviation's fourth at the airport. The new facility is designed to hold ultra-long-range jets and will expand aircraft capacity as the operator manages fleet growth.

Adam Singer, SC Aviation VP, said in a press release that the expansion reflects both the company's history and its future investment. "SC Aviation's groundbreaking represents both a celebration of our history and an investment in our future," Singer said. He continued: "For 80 years, our customers have trusted us to deliver exceptional service, safety, and operational excellence. This new hangar ensures we have the infrastructure to support our continued growth, better serve aircraft owners and charter clients, and create opportunities for our team for decades to come. We're proud to continue investing in Southern Wisconsin and building on the legacy that has defined SC Aviation."

The hangar groundbreaking follows recent fleet expansions for the operator. As of now, the largest aircraft in SC Aviation's fleet are two Falcon 2000s and a Falcon 7X, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. The reporting does not say how many additional aircraft the new hangar will accommodate or what specific demand forecasts drove the decision to build.

SC Aviation's investment in Southern Wisconsin infrastructure comes as the operator responds to customer growth. The company expects to have the new hangar operational by March 2027, positioning it to support increased aircraft operations in the coming year.

Private Jet Card Comparisons reports the construction follows other recent expansions in SC Aviation's fleet, as the operator requires more aircraft space for its customers. The new facility represents a significant capital commitment as SC Aviation continues to expand its footprint in Wisconsin.
