Air Charter Service opens Manhattan Financial District office
The charter operator has relocated its New York City base to Water Street, marking its third move in four years.
Air Charter Service has opened a new office in Manhattan's Financial District on Water Street, according to Private Jet Card Comparisons. The office occupies the 33rd floor and overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge, just a couple of blocks from Wall Street.
This is the third relocation of Air Charter Service's New York City presence in four years. Richard Thompson, President of the Americas for Air Charter Service, said the operator had outgrown its first space and noted that after that relocation, "we moved the office to Chelsea, Manhattan, more than three years ago."
Thompson said the new office "is much more than twice the size of the last one" and that "this move to the bigger office gives us the extra space needed, allowing us to fulfill our expansion plans for the team here, as we look to further grow our business in the city."
Thompson also noted that Air Charter Service "opened an office in Manhattan to complement our North American headquarters in Uniondale (on Long Island), as we felt it was necessary to have an office in the city."
A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the office last week. Air Charter Service maintains other North American offices in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Montreal, San Francisco, Toronto, and Washington, D.C.
Globally, Air Charter Service operates 42 offices worldwide and arranges 35,000 charter flights annually for private jets, cargo, groups, and relief. The operator's expansion in New York reflects its growth across the region and its strategy of maintaining a presence in the financial district alongside its Long Island headquarters.
The Financial District location positions the operator closer to major corporate clients and financial institutions in Manhattan. It is unclear from available reporting whether the new office size or location will affect pricing or availability of charter services for existing customers.
